Pau Guarro, BETWEEN Technology’s Managing Director, and Clara Bassols, Bertelsmann Foundation’s General Director, have sealed the adhesion contract by which the technological consultancy firm has joined the Alliance for Dual Vocational Training. Patricia Vega, BETWEEN Technology’s Talent Acquisition Specialist, Marc de Semir, Bertelsmann Foundation’s Corporate Communications Director, and Enric Borràs and Xavier Fabregat, Technical Advisors for the Dual Vocational Training Alliance, have also joined the event.

The Alliance for Dual Vocational Training is a state network of more than 900 companies, schools and institutions committed to boosting and developing Dual Vocational Training in Spain. The Alliance was created in 2015 by the Bertelsmann Foundation, together with the Girona Princess Foundation, the CEOE (Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations) and Spain’s Chamber of Commerce, with the aim of improving the employability of youngsters through a quality Dual Vocational Training.

BETWEEN Technology is specialised in IT and Engineering Outsourcing and Consulting, and it also provides customized technological solution services for companies. It is exactly in this last business line where the company has already got experience with Dual Vocational Training trainees who have taken a Foundation Degree in Multiplatform Applications, Web Application Development and Mechanical Manufacturing Design. For BETWEEN Technology it is essential to give an opportunity to future sector professionals by teaching and mentoring them so that they can learn and become the next betweeners.

An agreement that reinforces out commitment to society and to the territory

At the event, Pau Guarro pointed out that “being able to become part of the Alliance allows us to reinforce our commitment both to society and to the territory through the employability of youngsters”. And the thing is that BETWEEN has been betting on young talent coming from Dual Vocational Training for some time now. “It is the perfect kind of training since, due to its double training at companies and at schools, it is very focused towards companies’ needs and it allows us to have very adequate professionals. Thanks to the Alliance for Dual Vocational Training, we hope to keep on increasing our team of betweeners”, claims Pau Guarro.

For her part, Clara Bassols thinks that “it is essential to count on companies who support Dual Vocational Training and implement it, since they are the ones who can confirm the effectivity of the model. We are very happy today of adding BETWEEN Technology to the Alliance in order to keep on boosting the dual model in our country”.
