Solid Engineering celebrated its traditional summer meeting on 19 June. It was a corporate meeting marked with optimistic figures and concepts. These kinds of events are held twice a year – at Christmas and in summer-and serve to bring employees together outside the office and to provide a brief analysis of the last semester.

As usual, the CEO of Solid Engineering, Òscar Serret, did most of the corporate speaking. He highlighted the main business projects from the first semester and the operations of the various offices that Solid Engineering has worldwide.

Serret also emphasized the importance of the working day and only working those hours that are necessary but in an efficient way. “Labour presenteeism has no future”, he said. Serret also insisted that customers must perceive that the job has been done well, but within the usual 8 hours.

Cristina Pellicer, Head of the Human Resources Department at Solid Engineering, also participated in the speeches. She highlighted the continued increase in the number of staff at the company, a number that already exceeds 100 employees worldwide, as well as the company’s strong focus on employee training.

The event, held at a hotel in the centre of Barcelona, finished with an outdoor dinner of finger foods, an ideal setting to meet new co-workers and share a few laughs in a cordial and friendly atmosphere.
