SOLID ENGINEERING, a tech consultancy firm specializing in providing services in all areas of engineering and operations, and ADICIONA, an information and communications technology company, have agreed on a merger to create BETWEEN (www. Between-tech.com), a new technology consultancy firm that will offer full consulting services in the areas of engineering and IT in order to provide knowledge and the best solutions to each client, through talent and technology.
The new company will be based in Barcelona but it already has offices in Madrid, Sri Lanka, Singapore, China and Malaysia. With a staff of over 240 people, its revenue forecasts exceeds a €12.5m turnover for this year. The main fields of services that BETWEEN will offer to its current client list of more than 100 and to its potential clients, include consulting, outsourcing and technology solutions in the field of engineering and the technology of information; and tech-hunting and tech-recruiting of professionals.
The goal of BETWEEN is to lead the Spanish market for technology consulting through the talent and commitment of the people who make up the organization, exceeding on their quality and agility to adapt to customer needs.
BETWEEN has 4 partners: Oscar Serret and Francisco Civit (from SOLID ENGINEERING) and Jana Davesa and Eli Abad (from ADICIONA). Both Civit and Abad were founders of their respective companies. Oscar Serret will be the CEO of the merged company.
The merger originates from the conviction by both companies that gaining in size is important to achieve more stability and to be better able to cope with possible crisis scenarios, as well as to grow faster. The merger will also allow for a better coverage of the Spanish market and even better access to international markets. The markets and complementary services of both SOLID ENGINEERING and ADICIONA, as well as the fact that they shared partners, business cultures and similar processes, also led to the merger.
BETWEEN will also own 43% of INGENIA, one of the few Spanish high-tech companies specialized in the design, development and manufacturing of products for “motion control” (engine controllers) and positioning systems made to measure; and 38% of OPTIMA RENOVABLES, a leading company in the field of renewable technologies.
