Do you know that every year cancer attacks 250,000 children in the world?
In BETWEEN Technology, within the solidarity action Betweener Solidario, we have raised 2,740 euros for the project “For the brave” that fights against childhood cancer and wants to create the largest child cancer center in Europe. The contribution of the betweeners has reached 1,370 euros, a figure that the company, as an entity, has doubled.
This year’s Betweener Solidarity action is added to the usual ones, allocating support and contributions to actions aimed at direct help to people, such as the Banc dels Aliments, the Marató de Televisió de Catalunya, Creu Roja, or the Pediatric Palliative Cures Unit of Sant Joan de Déu.
The novelty of this last solidarity Betweener is that each employee could present a project with which he was involved and to which the money collected would be allocated. Out of all the projects presented, a vote was taken and among all of them we chose the solidary proposal of 2017, finally aimed at combating childhood cancer.
We are very happy with the contribution of each one of the betweeners, since this money will help to create the largest center in Europe and one of the most important in the world to treat and investigate childhood cancer: the SJD Pediatric Cancer Center Barcelona. It will be a center at the service of all the children of the world and for this they need to raise 30,000,000 €.
