Solid Engineering has organized the ‘Accept the challenge 2014’ competition to search for talent among the young engineers who are studying 5th year of industrial engineering or have finished their degree the last year.

To accept the challenge and participate in the competition, young engineers should build a wind turbine in compliance with the technical specifications laid down by the company. The enrollment phase the contest ends June 1st and projects can be submitted until October 1.

A jury composed of four members of Solid Engineering will choose the winner assessing the technical excellence of the project, its innovation, quality and sustainability and the documentation. The winner, who will be announced on December 1, will get a 3D printer.

The competition started at ETSEIB Forum.

Solid Engineering began to publicize the ‘Accept the challenge 2014’ between engineering students attending ETSEIB Forum last Wednesday March 12th. ETSEIB Forum , organized by Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya (UPC) , is the most important professional event of industrial sector in Catalonia. More than 60 companies attending the event.

The main objective of the Forum is to bring students to the business world and show the student reality of the moment to business. Talk there with students allows in many cases a first contact for further recruitment of candidates to fill some of the vacancies that Solid Group offers in its various locations around the world weekly.

The HR Department of Solid Engineering, besides encouraging the audience to participate in ‘Accept the challenge’, also provided information about the profiles most in demand by the company.

Solid Engineering has already organized the ‘ Accept the challenge’ several times. The aim of the company is to look and train young engineering talents, keeping itself faithful to its strategy of being a reference point of engineering at global level.
