BETWEEN was present at the ICT Forum held by the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) on 5 April. Students from all four years of the Engineering degree and from Master’s programmes attended the event, where we participated together with other companies including Accenture, Alten, Altran, Sopra, Richo, HP, Deloitte and Microsoft.
The students that attended the ICT Forum where from all four years of the Engineering degree and from Master’s programmes – an important experience for us, as it allowed us to learn about both the future expectations and the first work experiences of the young engineers.
Six of our Betweeners from the Human Resources department devoted all their talent and enthusiasm to showing who we are at BETWEEN, what we do and how we do it, although how we do it was more than obvious in this case.
A themed booth: Mario Bros
If you want to stand out, you need to reinvent yourself. It was the third time this year that we went to the UPC in search of talent, and to ensure that no one would walk past our booth we decided to theme it with Mario Bros characters. So our HR Betweeners were wearing red caps – like Mario – or green caps – like Luigi – to make sure they would not go unnoticed.
The students that came by our booth during the day took with them, in addition to a lot of information about BETWEEN, different merchandising items: notebooks, pens, sweets… And better still, a photo with the Mario Bros Mushroom, excellently played by our colleague Marta Giménez.
The aim of this themed mise en scène was to show young engineers that working and having fun at the same time possible and that at BETWEEN things are done conscientiously but in a fun way. This type of job fairs are, for many of them, their first contact with the world of work and it is important to give it a positive outlook.
